Zaari Strawnana Live Rosin

Zaari Strawnana Live Rosin Review: Small white plastic puck about the size of a 20c coin with a threaded lid that has an anti-tamper seal. Also comes in a nice box that feels like the only thing missing is that Tiffany blue.

Crackin the lid on this one I was greeted by a very sweet berry aroma with a faint banana undertone, definitely refreshing and nice on the nose.

Blond colour with an oily wax consistency that is on the dryer side and slightly crumbly. There is very little information on the flower used to produce this rosin, but what I could find is that it was grown outdoors under natural lighting in South Africa, although information on the exact growing medium isn’t available, and using a solvent-less ice water extraction method.

The flavour transfer on this is nice, its sweet berry flavour is well pronounced on exhale, definitely tasty and had me licking my lips. However, I did find this to be a little on the harsh side, not unbearable with a slight niggle at lower temps but scratchy enough to produce a cough at higher temps.

I found this provided almost instant therapeutic relief, treating my lower back pain and also great for my anxiety, as it relaxes the whole body, hitting the back of the eyes, though not quite sedating. Definitely something I found better suited to afternoons/nights, though I did find it induced the munchies and had me raiding the kitchen a lot.

For me hash rosin is one of the best ways to consume cannabis, and this is no exception. It’s effective, has good flavour, and although it could be smoother to consume I found myself not hating the throat hit. The munchies would be one of the things I would change about it, but not so bad if you plan around it or have a stronger willpower and able to resist eating every snack in the cupboard. I would also like to see this in glass rather than plastic even if that means doing without the Tiffany box, despite it being a nice touch.
